Terry Cole

Welcome to TerryCole.com

If you have never heard of Terry Cole, don’t be surprised.  After toiling away as just an accompanist for too many years, always making other people shine, he has finally come into the forefront as a performer in his own right.  Working extensively as an accompanist in his early years, he has worked with such greats as Ralna English and Teri Ralston.  He has toured in shows with Eric Stoltz, Anthony Edwards and Janine Turner.  He has acted as rehearsal and pit pianist in several productions, among them: Peter Pan, Stop The World, I Want to Get Off, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and Jesus Christ, Superstar, the latter starring Ted Neely, Carl Anderson and Paul Ainsley.

He has been performing in clubs, hotels, restaurants, piano bars, on cruise ships and at private functions for over 20 years.  Among these venues are: Cunard, Sitmar and Admiral Cruise Lines.  He has performed as a guest aboard NCL’s Norwegian Sky, Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Wind.  More locally, he has appeared in the Los Angeles area at The Sheraton Premier Hotel in Universal City, The Anaheim Marriott Hotel, The Boardroom, The Other Side, Mr. Mike’s, Keith’s, The Oasis and Wellington’s restaurant.  He appeared regularly at Main Street in Laguna Beach.  In San Diego, he has appeared at #1 5th Avenue and Bourbon Street.  In the Palm Springs area, Terry’s performances have been enjoyed at Daddy Warbuck’s, Cuddles II, and, most recently, The Rainbow Restaurant & Bar.

Taking his inspiration from the greats from Nat “King” Cole to Elton John, he has built a solid repertoire of tunes covering a wide range of styles.  Always ready to honor a request he travels with an extensive collection of sheet music.

Terry considers his intimate style an extension of his own personality.  Performing, he believes is more a matter of letting something out than putting something on.  So, if your tastes run from Pop to Broadway to Standards, you owe it to yourself to give him a listen.  His audiences are responding well to his unique dedication to a lyric and are increasing in number with every performance he gives.  Not bad for a shy kid who spent so much time hiding behind a piano letting others get all the applause.
